They were directly involved in the situation that caused Alister to look up all of the Jötunn at once. In fact, they had killed most of them. Why had they done this? They were involved with DEATHS in their past life and while they had been able to stop them from learning about the Jötunn, they had been injected with a serum that drove them mad. Foolishly thinking allies were enemies they went on a rampage until eventually getting themselves killed.
